Edith Chiliboy is a Zambian photographer whose work has led her to achieve several significant milestones.
She became the first photographer to be collected by the Chaminuka private collection, a notable achievement in Zambia’s art scene.
In 2018, Chiliboy exhibited her work at the Zambian National Museum in collaboration with the Zambian Drug Enforcement Commission.
Her photographic journey includes participation in the PhotoCovidZambia collective in 2020 and a six-month residency with the Women’s History Museum, where her work was featured in the “Fabricated Stories” project.
In 2022, Edith Chiliboy was awarded the joint Affects and Colonialism Web Lab Fellowship at the Freie Universität Berlin.
She contributed to the Chaminuka Emerging Artists Exhibition and the Fractures project by the Women’s History Museum in 2023.
Her work extends internationally, including collaborating with Flat Time House (UK) for the ‘Incidental Mpala’ research initiative alongside Wayiwayi Art Studio.
Chiliboy has actively participated in various workshops and residencies, including the Stories of Kalingalinga workshop in 2019 and 2024, organised by the Zambian National Visual Arts Council in partnership with Anglia Ruskin University.
In 2024, she served as an artist-in-residence at the prestigious Cambridge University Library, further enriching her artistic experience and growth.
